The Last 5 Minutes of the Day

How do you spend the end of your day, right before you go to sleep? Are you thinking about your day, what happened yesterday that made you upset, the state of the world? Are you thinking negatively, beating yourself up, focusing on regret? If you are thinking things along this line, how are you feeling the next day, what happens in the next day?

The last 5 minutes of the day, before you go to sleep at night are the most important 5 minutes of your day. You are going into your subconscious mind for the next 8 hours and you are going to marinate there in those 8 hours. As you enter into your subconscious mind, you can do one of two things, you can review all of the things that you didn’t like, that didn’t work, that disappointed you, all of the stuff that is going on in the world that you hate, so now you wake up the next day and your subconscious mind begins to offer you up experiences that match up to everything that you’ve placed in there. Or use those last 5 minutes to program into your subconscious "I am well, I am healthy, I am content, I am peaceful, I am unattached, I am in love" and you just start to program yourself this way so that when you wake up, your subconscious mind will offer up experiences that reflect what you placed there.

Think about how our thoughts affect our emotions and daily existence. We live our life through the day in our conscious mind,  while our subconscious is being programed through the night. Our subconscious can't make a distinction between the thoughts we have or actual things that are going on in our physical life. So if your subconscious mind is being programed to say this will never work out, the universal subconscious mind will begin to offer you experiences that match up to that.

Like the saying goes "fake it until you make it", there is some truth in that. If we repeatedly, daily speak/think positive things about our lives, they will become our life. If we constantly speak/think negatively about our life, that becomes the narrative for our life. We have control over which way that goes.

At the end of each day, it is imperative that we dedicate a small amount of time to think positively about our day, life or ourselves, that way through the night, that is what our mind is subconsciously stewing over, therefore the universe will start giving more of what we call in.

If you have trouble at the end of the day when you lay down to sleep, your mind steady running, can't silence your thoughts, try journaling before laying down. Write everything you think of that comes to mind, whether it makes sense or not, things in the day that stressed you or upset you, things in the world or your life that scare you or worry you, anything and everything, get it out your mind and on paper. After that, choose a few positive affirmations to repeat to yourself as you lay down to go to sleep.

Another method to help you calm your mind from the stress of the day to better prepare your subconscious' work through the night is box breathing. Box breathing is a breath work method of inhaling 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale 4 seconds, then hold for 4 seconds. Repeat that a few times or however many times you feel is best for you. In doing this, you can slow down your heart rate and your thinking, then you are better able to recite affirmations.

Remember that the last 5 minutes of our day are a huge reflection on what we are to expect the next day. If we focus on the negative, all we will see and experience is the negative, but focusing on the positive, you are able to discover positivity more frequently and easier. Sending you all my love and light for positive subconscious programming tonight.
